With an increasing awareness of environmental protection, safety control and labor protection worldwide, consumers are concern about not only product quality, but also sustainability of the entire production process. Therefore, brands tend to take CSR performance into consideration when choosing their suppliers.
PU manufacture is a typical labor-intensive industry with high risk of environment, health and safety by using toxic chemical material. However, some of the PU manufacturing plants have little awareness of EHS. In order to solve this problem, DOBE cooperate with PFI Germany (a testing and research institute) , started a project named “Pure-PUR”, which aimed to establish audit standards for PU plants, promote testing and certificates of PU suppliers and help PU plants achieve continuous improvement.
The services we provide for PFI include:
     •Establish audit standards
       Cooperate with PU industry and establish a unified audit standard for PU plant

•Training
Provide brief training for PU plants under audit, including the introduction of Pure-PUR project, testing items, matters needing attention, methods for prevention of pollutants (DMFA) emission and relevant law and regulations

•Audit
The items of audit include EHS documents, on-site inspection of facilities and operation, sampling and measurement of pollutant emission in the plants.

•Certificate
According to the audit results, the passed PU plants are divided into three categories (excellent, good, pass) and offered corresponding audit certificates. These audit certificates provide a reference for brands when selecting suppliers in the PU industry.The certificate is valid for 3 years, and annual examination is also provided.

     •Provide solutions for improvement
       According to the deficiencies found in audit, the feasible solutions for improvement are provides to PU plants.
